Hi I'm Bob

I'm a pharmacist. I'm a dad. I'm an armchair quarterback, but I like to play outside in the summertime. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from Idaho State University in Pocatello. I married a classmate and we are both pharmacists. We lived in Utah for a while, but we have decided to make the great State of Idaho our perminant home. We love to boat the Snake River and ride ATV's in the mountains. I recently took up wake boarding at age 36. I am going to learn to wake surf next summer. I love to watch college football. I am a big fan of the Utah Jazz. I love to listen to the Beatles. And I am a father of three.

Why I am a Mormon

My great-great grandfather joined the Mormon church when he was a cabin boy on a ship that ran trading lines between Northen Europe and the United States. One night as he knelt to pray, one of his shipmates asked him if he was afraid to offend the Protestant God, by praying to that Mormon God. He responded, "How can I offend a God without body parts or passions?" The prophet Joseph Smith revealed to the world that God The Father and His Son Jesus Christ are separate and distinct beings with bodies. I am literally a son of my Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is literally my older brother. They love me and they want me to become like them. Thus, Jesus Christ commanded, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." I know that families can be together forever, through Heavenly Father's plan. I always want to be with my own family. I would not have it any other way.

How I live my faith

I am the Ward Employment Specialist. This means that I help unemployed and under-employed people improve their situation. I don't go out and find jobs for people. I help people help themselves. I can help a person fill out an application or a resume. I can help them with mock interviews and teach them how to present themselves. I can stear them towards Church and State resources that list jobs, improve education, and add needed skills. Why does the a church have an employment specialist? Because unemployment can lead to depression and make it hard for a person to progress spiritually.

What do Mormons believe about family?

I lost my mom about 3 years ago to cancer. I take comfort in knowing that I will be with her again and my entire family in the next life. Jesus Christ has made it possible for us to be together forever if we follow him and do as he commands. Show more Show less
