Hi I'm Adam

I'm an Ironman, Marathoner, Hiker, Father (4), Husband, Affordable Housing Consultant, Uncle and...I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love making a difference in the world. In 2008 we traveled to India and distributed free wheelchairs to the disabled. In 2011 my daughter and I traveled to Peru and helped build a school in a small village high in the mountains. I volunteer as a Planning Commissioner in my city. I also enjoy running, biking, hiking, exercise, and eating healthy food. Don't get me wrong, I also love sweets and sometimes wonder if I exercise so I can enjoy the sweets more. I love spending time with my family. I have two boys and two girls. My son is serving as a missionary in Paraguay for two years. I love to see others achieve their goals and be there when they cross the finish line or train with them or climb the mountain with them.

Why I am a Mormon

At some point everyone must have their own belief. I was born into a family that was already members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. However, when I was 18 I really had to search my own heart to discover whether I had a testimony of this Church on my own, or was it something inherited. I realized for myself, through prayer and feeling the spirit warm my heart, that the Church is true. Now, as a father of four and a husband, the Church provides such a wonderful foundation to raising a family and staying close to my spouse. The Church compliments everything I'm trying to do at the home and provides my family with mentors and wonderful examples for my family. It helps my family achieve their fullest potential and not compromise to societies lower standards.

How I live my faith

The "fruit" of my faith is how I spend my time living my life serving others. Right now I am in a leadership position with the young men in our region (Stake) and I also serve each Sunday in the nursery with my wife. She and I care for about 8 children ages 18 months to 3 years old so that their parents can go to classes and learn and grow in the gospel. Many parents are so grateful for the love and service we provide their children. It makes me feel so great to know that playing with children can have such a wonderful impact on other people's lives.
