Hi I'm Linda

I'm a mother of 3, a grandmother of 5, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a "Senior Citizen" now but I was once a teenager and young adult! I've enjoyed my children and now my grandchildren. And looking forward to more grandchildren. I've worked most of my adult life. Now in the apartment industry. I enjoyed sewing, cross stiching, and embroidery - until I can no longer see as well. Reading is fun - when I have time. But PEOPLE are the most fun. I enjoy getting to know others and their ideas. I tried art school - but realized it wasn't for me. I look forward to retirement and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with an active Christian family. I attended church and read the Bible. I even went to a college which was affiliated with my church. But I still had questions that weren't answered. When the misssionaries taught me the first time, I realized that there were answers. I knew there needed to be a living prophet and that the heavens were not closed. When I was 19 years old I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). I continue to search for answers, but I know where to look. I go to my Heavenly Father and ask. I know He has led me to this church and that He knows me and loves me as an individual. I am His child and Jesus Christ is my elder brother. He has made it possible for us to return to live with Him. I feel that the "Mormon" church has filled in the gaps in my knowledge of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I feel their love.

How I live my faith

Today, I continue to study and read the scriptures. I pray continuously to overcome my weaknesses and the evils in the world. I teach the younger children in Church. I have worked with the young women in sports activities. I learn from my other sisters in the Church - both in gospel knowledge and practical life activities. My husband and I pray together at least 2 times a day. We attend our meetings and try to set good examples for our children, grandchildred and others. We work on keeping Heavenly Father's commandments and improving everyday. I try to be kind to everyone and honest. I support those of other religions and respect their beliefs. I plan to continue in helping others - as we all are our Heavenly Father's children.
