Hi I'm Laura.

I'm a Mormon. I'm a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter and a friend.

About Me

I grew up in a small town with a desire to see the world and get to know it's people. During college I studied in Israel and Washington, D.C. and that only fed my hunger to experience new people and places. My husband and I have lived in 5 states in the US and 3 provinces in Canada. I have loved everywhere we have lived for the people I have met and the friends I have made. I enjoy getting to know other people on a personal level. We have 3 teenage children and I find that my children are fast becoming my favorite people and closest friends. I love them more and more all the time for the people they are becoming and the experiences we have had together. I'm grateful to be a wife and a mother and daughter and friend. My relationships with other people are the most important thing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have learned from my own experience that living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me joy and peace. When I am feeling discouraged or alone, I feel the arms of my Savior reach out in love to me. I know that He lives and loves me. I know he is mindful of us as individuals and desires to bless us if we turn to Him. I have felt and experienced His love in my own life and seen the effects of it in the lives of others. I have seen my husband and children find joy & peace as they live the gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is the only way to find lasting peace in this world. No matter what struggles or trials we face, He is there for us.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in my every day life by caring for and reaching out to others. I have spent a lot of time working with the youth in our church (including my own children) and find great inspiration in their lives and examples to me. I am supposed to be their teacher, but I always learn more from them. They have insights and experiences that strengthen me personally and make me want to be a better person. I love being around them for the spirit and energy that they have.
