Hi I'm Kelly Jay Hadfield

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the faith from a child.

About Me

I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and many other sports. I enjoy watching football and basketball. I have interest in computers, photography, music and editing family videos. The highlight of my life is the grandchildren. We have 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We have one daughter and one son. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Business Administration/Marketing. I work in a family window covering sales, production and installing business. One of the highlights of my life was serving on a mission for this church for 2 years in Japan on the islands of Kyushu and Honshu also. The cities were Nagasaki, Nobeoka, Hofu, Kita Kyushu, and Ube . This was from September 1974 to August 1976.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was baptized at age 8. My parents taught us to be church going by precept and example. Even as a young person as far back as I can remember I remember the great family centeredness strength the church taught us and my parents followed. I felt the Holy Ghost telling me the church was true at a young age. I have wanted to have these same blessings for the family I reared and their children as well and have been blessed to serve in many lay positions of the church including, teaching, working with youth, leadership and missionary work. I have also from a youth had a testimony of the Heavenly Father, Jesus, Apostles and Prophet that lead this church as well as had great local church ward leaders and teachers . One of the great things for me is the family centeredness of this church and being sealed in the holy temple of The Lord to my family for eternity. Also as I have received witness that it is the restored gospel to the earth again with the fullness of the gospel and organized as the church in Jesus' time with Apostles and a Prophets receiving authority and revelation from Jesus Christ himself I have been blessed.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow the teachings of The Gospel. I currently serve serve in what is called a Stake, which consists of about 1,000 members made of subgroups of what is called Wards . There are 8 wards. The members are university age Young Single Adults. My position is what is called a clerk to the President of The Stake. I keep track of paper work, do Calendaring as well as other misc. assignments. I also serve as communications specialist with my regular family LDS ward including having ham radio skills where my wife and I participate with the community in being prepared for emergencies such as earthquakes. Part of our religion is family. I try to support immediate and extended family in ways I can think of in their immediate earthly doings as well as I can in spiritual ways.
