Hi I'm Darius

I was born and raised in Samoa for some years before moving to New Zealand with a wonderful family that I love, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the eldest of 5 children. Being in that position has not been easy but it has been a privilege and a blessing. I'm a University graduate that is looking to further his education in a different field of profession. My full-time mission for the Church was a huge factor in making the decision to go back to study. Being a Kiwi boy now, Rugby has become the only sport I play competitively.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the Church by parents who had planted their beliefs in the Gospel. I'm a Mormon today not because of them, but because I choose to. I believe the LDS Church is true with all my heart. I have tested the Gospel soil for myself, and now my roots are deeply planted within it also. I know through a loving Father in Heaven's plan, I can spend eternity with the people I love, and no where else can I find this joy.

How I live my faith

The most important way for me to live my faith is to teach the standards of the Gospel through who I am - in thought, word and deed. In all situations or circumstances, "integrity and character matter most."

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Darius
Jesus Christ taught that we must be baptized by immersion (Mark 16:16; 3 Nephi 11:21-26). He set the example Himself by being baptized to “fulfill all righteousness” (Matthew 3:15). Baptism is the first fruit of repentance (Moroni 7:25). It is a sacred commandment that is performed by someone who has the priesthood authority of God. Show more Show less
