Hi I'm Christian

I'm from a big family, I'm a senior in high school, I love to run, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest of nine kids and I recently became an uncle! I enjoy ping pong, pogo sticking, and playing games with my family. I love doing fun things with my friends like planking, coning, and cupping. I also enjoy long walks on the beach, chick flicks, and baking delicious goodies. I cherish the time I spend with my family. After graduating from high school, I attended a semester of college and I am now at home preparing to serve a mission in Mendoza Argentina. I am realizing more and more how blessed I am to be part of a great family who loves me and who I can trust. The only thing more important to me is my relationship with my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, I don't really know whether I would have joined this Church if I wasn't born into it. However, I do know that this Gospel has brought me by far more joy than anything else in life. I get the butterflies when I think about my family living together forever and that I will be able to have my own family and live together with them and God someday. I'm so thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ who made it possible for me to repent of my many sins and return to live with him. He has done more for me than I can comprehend and I will forever be indebted to him. I'm thankful for the Restoration of Christ's Church once again here upon the Earth and for the courage that Joseph Smith had to pray to God to know which church to join. I'm so glad that I can pray to God for myself to know what is true, and not have to live by blindly trusting other people. I'm thankful for all of the Scriptures; for the inspiring stories they carry and for the important doctrines they contain. I know that this Church is true, that it is the same Church that Christ established on the Earth two thousand years ago. I know that God again speaks to his children by way of a Prophet, currently Thomas S. Monson. I know that Joseph Smith truly saw God the Father and Jesus Christ and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. These are things I've come to know by prayer and by promptings of the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

Christ said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." I try to remember that carefully as I go throughout my days and in everything that I do; that God wants me to live a clean, wholesome life to be the best that I can be. I know that faith without works is dead. I can say all I want that I know the Gospel is true, but I won't get anywhere if I don't put my actions where my mouth is. As I've learned to do more service and become a better person, I have found more joy in the Gospel. In my ward's Priest Quorum we took turns visiting a nearby nursing home to visit the residents and administer the Sacrament. This has been a great opportunity for me to give service through my priesthood. The Priesthood is the power and authority to act in the name of God. He is all powerful and wants us to become like Him, so He entrusts those who are worthy and faithful with a portion of His power to help take part in His work. It seems like just yesterday I was in the children's primary singing "I hope they call me on a mission", but now it's a reality. I've been called to serve as a representative of the Lord in Argentina for two years! I'm so excited to be there and to give that service. I know I'll be eternally indebted to Him, but I love being able to help in His work in anyway that I can.
