Hi I'm Daniel

I am a full-time student and Electrical Designer for trade. I enjoy life and strive to reach the full potential it has to offer.

About Me

I love to do many things. I play piano and enjoy making music. Mountain biking is one of my favorite outdoor activities. Laser tag is awesome! I love ice cream in the summer and hot chocolate in the winter. Roller coasters are a blast! My favorite fruit is the orange with watermelon coming in next. Friends are an important part of my life as they bring the best out of me, which means I love to make lots of them! My family means everything to me. I have always been fascinated with electricity since I can remember. I enjoy experimenting with it even if I shocked sometimes. I have worked as an electrician doing home remodeling and commercial electric, but now have moved on towards my career in electrical engineering. It is such a fulfilling experience to progress and make my dreams come true.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this faith is true. I believe The Book of Mormon is powerful scripture to help me learn about Christ and become like him. My faith in Christ has become solid because of this book. This book brings brighter hope into my life even when times are tough. I become a better person when I read this book because it motivates me to do good and make right choices. I grew up in the Mormon church, and little by little I have gained a testimony of the Restored Gospel. My testimony is built on experience—experiences where the Spirit touched my life. It did not happen all at once.

How I live my faith

I am always striving to improve. Daily reading of my scriptures helps me accomplish that goal. I have served a 2-year ministry (in Texas and New Mexico), which brought me closer to God more than ever. Currently, I play the organ and teach the Elders which I absolutely enjoy. I have also served in leadership as a counselor. I strive to "feed [his] sheep" by visiting assigned members and sharing a gospel message on a monthly basis. This is not limited to just teaching, but also donating my time to service in aid of them, as well as others. I am an open book when it comes to the Gospel and love to answer questions regarding either doctrine, or point-of-view.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is worth it. If you think you are happy right now, imagine being happier. If you aren't happy right now, this is your answer, LIVE THE GOSPEL! God pours out so many blessings when you follow His commandments. Being a Mormon isn't easy. God expects a lot out of His children and therefore has high standards. However, sometimes mistakes are made. There's nothing better than to have loving leadership along with trusted friends in the Gospel to help you through trials. Being a Mormon means being closer to God and Jesus Christ. With latter-day revelation through prophets and apostles, we always know what God wants us to do. If we follow God's chosen leaders we will be better prepared for trials and more spiritually in tune. Along with membership, the Gift of the Holy Ghost is conferred. This means the ability to always have His spirit with you. Paul says that gift of the Spirit is "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, [and] temperance" (Galatians 5:22-23). Imagine having those feelings all the time. Being a Mormon means Eternal Families. It's no longer "till death do you part," but "for time and eternity." Imagine being with loved ones in an eternal family.
