Hi I'm Rene'

I'm a credit union executive. I'm a wife and a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my best friend twenty three years ago in the Jordan River Temple. Several years ago, we decided to add to our family of five and we were blessed, through foster care and then adoption, with three more amazing kids! I juggle a full time career as a credit union executive with being a wife and mother, and with a lot of help from my husband and kids, it all seems to work.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was baptized at the age of eight, I was not raised as an active member of the Church. After meeting my future husband, I learned of the blesssings that were available to me through a temple marriage. An eternal family was an answer to a prayer that had been in my heart for most of my life and I knew that was what I wanted for my life.

How I live my faith

Family is the single most important thing in my life. Because I have been so blessed, I knew that our family could and should share all that we had with other children that needed us. I feel strongly that by helping just one child, you can change generations for the better. I know that teaching my children to live and love the gospel of Jesus Christ, that by following his teachings they can live a happy, full life and showing them, by example, that we all have a social responsibility to help those who cannot help themselves, will be the greatest and most important thing I will do in my life. The last two years that our son has been serving a mission in South Carolina have been such an amazing time for our family. I am so thankful that he chose to serve a mission and allow our family to experience the blessings and miracles that come with having a fulltime missionary. Over the last two years my testimony of the truth of the gospel, of missionary work and of the Book of Mormon has grown tremendously! The feeling of complete and utter knowledge of the truth and rightness of the gospel has never been as clear to me as it has at this time in my life. In part, I contribute this to the fact that I have a son in the mission field who is praying daily for all those he loves to have a full understanding.
