Hi I'm Alayne

I'm a gal who has something like 297 hobbies. I'm a mom, teacher, and grad student. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I teach elementary school, I'm working on my PhD, and I'm a single mom. Life is busy, but so good! My family and friends are important to me. I love to be outside and be active - running, swimming, hiking, etc. If I have spare time for hobbies, I enjoy reading, playing the piano, visiting new places, and being crafty. Some of my favorite things are: my daughter's smile, the color yellow, Cafe Rio pork salads, that campfire smell, sore muscles, dessert, listening to music, and summer time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, and I have gained a testimony for myself of the truth of this church and its teachings. I know that following the commandments has blessed me and allowed me to develop a relationship with Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. No matter what life brings, I know that I can rely on the Lord and trust in Him, and everything will work out. I am a Mormon because I find joy and happiness through living the principles of the gospel. I know I am learning and becoming a better person through the atonement of Jesus Christ. It tastes good, and I want it for myself and my family always.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon influences every aspect of my life. At church, I play the organ and the piano during worship services. At home, I teach my daughter about the gospel. We pray together, read scriptures together, and spend time together doing things that strengthen our relationship. At work, I try my best to be Christlike and to care for each one of God's children. I'm not perfect, but I keep trying.
