Hi I'm Jim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a semi retired CO politician (senator and commissioner) Love the outdoors, Jeeping in Moab and the Rockies. Pick a little guitar. Kids grown. A couple of college degrees and a deep appreciation of history. Read a lot and like to travel the Southwest and when possible collect southwest art.

Why I am a Mormon

I was loved into the church by some wonderful people who gave me a gift of unmatched value. I owe them a debt of gratitude that I can never repay. I have a strong testimony that out Heavenly Father works in our lives daily, that our prayers are answered and we are blessed with having a profit on earth to guide and instruct us. My ability to serve is truly a blessing that brings great comfort and blessings my life daily. And I am given the plan of salvation. The sacred ordinances and work in the temple enrich me in way I could have never have thought possible and they bring me closer to our Heavenly Father. I sat one evening by the fountain in front of the temple and shared a prayer for understanding and guidance; I received it and entered the water of baptism shortly thereafter. My life has since been enriched in ways I could never have imagined.

How I live my faith

I participate in our high priest group, do my callings and home teach. I participate in the Scouting programs when needed and provide help to others in need.
