Hi I'm Henry Gottschald.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married since July 1988 and have 5 children: 4 daughters and 1 son. I work as a production worker in an industrial company. I love to swim and to relax. I love to talk to my fellow human beings and I love to encourage them. I love to drive cars, especially our family car. I love to spend time with my wife and my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised up in the church in the 4th generation. When I grew older I found out the church is true and holds the best aspects for my future life style as a husband and a father of my own marriage and family. I love Jesus Christ. He is my brother and friend in the best sense of these words. I really have a testimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. They both came down to Joseph Smith when he asked in a prayer to God which church is true and they both revealed themselves to him. I know this. I had so many experiences with my children and the priesthood and its authority from God. Priesthood of God is and has a power to heal. I testify this to you with all my 5 children. The doctors diagnosed bad sicknesses and diseases on my 5 children when they were babies. I know the doctors were right. They did not err. They saw what they saw and it was not good for my children. My stake president stepped by and taught us brothers about the wonderful priesthood in general. He was inspired. Then I made a try to bless my wife with the first unborn baby inside and I put all my heart, might, mind and strength into this blessing and God granted total healing to my first baby. This repeated up to my third child. My wife's 4th pregnancy was a twin pregnancy. Nothing bad was detected by the doctors but I laid my hands on my wife's head and blessed her again as previously. The twin delivery went super. All my 5 babies survived in the hands of God by the wonderful authorized priesthood

How I live my faith

In my extended family there are many believers of different faiths. I love to exchange my beliefs with them without contending with them about them. I really strongly believe in there is always a way and a possibility to talk to each other friendly, kindly, lovefully, peacefully and respectfully. I love love and peace and harmony and friendship. Not even the best belief is worth contending with my beloved fellow human beings. In my 5 year old home city branch Jena I am a teacher for the elders' quorum. I love to teach my fellow members and to learn new gospel insights with them to make gospel progress together.
