Hi I'm Kelsey

I danced for 15 years and am a Sophomore in college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending college to become a Surgical Tech. I am an identical twin and also have a younger brother. I love sports...played basketball, softball, tennis, and have been dancing since I was 3. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going on vacations!

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up in the Church or have any religious affiliation until about middle school. My friends were all LDS and encouraged me and my twin sister to take seminary in high school. The more I learned about the Church, the more I grew to love it! I wanted to be baptized and join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I knew it was true. On Christmas morning 2010, I recieved a letter in my stocking from my parents finally giving me permission to be baptized! All good things come to those who wait! As my seminary teacher said,"Your parents gave you a great gift...the ticket to salvation." It was not an easy road to get to where I am now in the Church but it was worth every step of the way! I look back on the years of my life where I did not have the gospel in my life and compare it to now. I am so much happier now! I have much more peace, direction, and comfort in my life. The gospel has given my life purpose and meaning. I know God lives and loves all of us. I know Thomas S. Monson is a true Prophet who leads and guides us today. I know Jospeh Smith was a true Prophet and translated the Book of Mormon. That book is true and contains so much power and guidance we can apply in our lives. I know Heavely Father gave His Only Begotten Son to atone for all the sins, sufferings, and afflictions of mankind. Through, by and with the Savior, we can repent and return to live with God again someday. This has to be our ultimate goal. He will stand by us in all things if we remain faithful and put our trust in Him. I love this gospel with all my heart and I know it is true! I would not be where I am today without this knowledge or all those who have taught me and been examples to me!

How I live my faith

I live my faith my doing God's will and trying to live my life patterned after the Savior's. He is our greatest example and I strive to do all things He would do. When faced with a decision, I ask myself which option will bring me closer to the Lord and what His will would be for me. I teach others by example and word. It is important to me not only to teach what I believe, but also DO as I teach.
