Hi I'm Michael

I love Shakespeare. Eating is great. I love Muse. Laughter is my "life source" if you will. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born of goodly parents(I wonder how many people on this site say that) in the majestic land of Alpine, Utah and I love life(como se dice, cliche... Ahem....*Raise eyebrows*...... Anyways)! After my mission I plan on finishing school and joining the Army. My family is crazy, but we have an exponential amount of more fun than 'normal people'! The frivolities that I take part in are as follows: performing Shakespeare, singing, airsofting, skiing, eating, sleeping, shooting, making people laugh, and having magical adventures that involve being hurled out of one's comfort zone, disco skating, and ukeleles! I shop at thrift stores, and most of the time, I look super classy(as pictured above). My life's existence has been one long stream of broken social norms. I thrive on awkwardness... Basically, I love to have fun and stuff like that. My favorite Disney Princess is Rapunzel... Music is the best: Muse, Beirut, anything classic rock, Hans Zimmer, Folk music, Irish punk/rock, Dave Eaton, Mo-Tabs!, Daft Punk, U2, Oingo Boingo, Paper Tongues, Neon Trees, Maroon 5... Boo-ya grandma! At this time, I am serving a mission in the Iowa Des Moines Mission. The midwest is sweet! I love this land that is rich with Africans, Asians, Farmers, and humidity! I've defeated like a million bears, I have 6 level 900 Night Elfs or whatever, and and I'm a bigger deal than Elder Berthold. I like the name PJ... So, ya.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that this is the only true and living Church on the earth. Everything in this church just makes sense. The more I read the Book of Mormon and Bible, the more I know that it's true. Also, the more I apply and live the principles I learn, the more I know that God loves and knows me. Everything that is taught, answers so many "questions of the soul", and has filled gaps in me that I didn't know were there. When I was a senior in High School, I had a lot of questions that needed answering, and I decided that I needed to find out for myself if the church was true. Also, the time for me to serve a mission was drawing nigh. So I thought to myself,"Self, if you're going to preach this, and give up everything you have here, you should probably know that it's true!" I read the Book of Mormon, and began to earnestly seek for an answer. After I finished the Book of Mormon, I asked God if it was true, and by the power of the Holy Ghost, I received my answer. I'm glad that I made the descision to be baptized. Since then, as I've increased in faith by repenting, and following the spirit, my conviction of the truthfullness of the gospel has increased as well!

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm preaching the Gospel in Iowa! I talk to all those that will listen, and that are put into my path. I walk, drive, or bike around trying to find those that will recieve us. As missionaries, we act as guides to help people come closer to Christ. I may not be the best teacher, or may not be very clear sometimes, but I know that the message we share is true, and that I have been called by a prophet of God. It's sweet! After I return home, I will continue to share my faith with those around me, and working diligently in callings or assignments that I receive.
