Hi I'm Bryce

I love to travel, I am an aspiring scientist, I love that little thing we call adrenaline - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I am mostly a jack of all trades - a novice in just about everything, and a master of very little, although I am getting pretty good at the rubix's cube. For me there just isn't anything in the world quite like antiquity, and I love to immerse myself in things that are too good to be true. That usually implies plenty of time with friends and family, good books, video games, and a healthy dose of music. I feel that life is all about opportunities, to progress or digress as we see fit - so I seek to use everything I have been given in mortality to make a difference in the lives I touch. That is what brings me happiness - why not share it with everyone else?

Why I am a Mormon

I always grew up believing in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and it puzzled me to see people who refuse to accept this extraordinary account of God's dealings with mankind. The very fact that others did not believe in it motivated me at the age of 14 to find out why. For me, the Book of Mormon's very existence tells it all - either these "other" scriptures came from God, or some really smart man spun the most epic lie in all of history. Instead of battling intellectually with the very idea of God's existence, I just asked Him about the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon in prayer. He answered, and I knew then for myself that God is real, and that the Book of Mormon is just as truly a book of scripture as the Bible is. Pretty cut and dry process once you hunger for that answer - ask God, and He answers. Hmm, I am pretty sure I read that in the Bible somewhere...

How I live my faith

Currently, I am doing whatever good I can among the people of Cambridge Massachusetts, seeking to impart the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who will listen. And what a rush that is!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

For me, a testimony is the knowledge of God's actuality, given as a gift to all those who earnestly seek Him through the message of the restored gospel. In other words, a 'testimony' is the experiences we have of God speaking to us through the power of His spirit. We therefore 'know' something is true because God told us, not because we deducted it in any other way. Cool thing is, you can gain a testimony of anything ~ Trust in God enough to obey what he asks, then He will tell you what is true. Show more Show less
