Hi I'm Keagan

I'm a Psychology major, a student leader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to play American Football. I played at a university in Virginia. I also learned to love rugby while serving a mission in Perth, Australia. I've always been active, whether it was football or karate I was always doing something. I love being outdoors. Hiking, camping, four-wheeling, cross country skiing, snowboarding, anything. I love it! I especially love being outdoors with the snow. I'm interested in a lot of random things. pretty much a jack of all trades and a master of none. I like picking up random talents and then surprising people with them. I'm always in for learning something new. I also love food. I watch the food network sometimes and get random ideas that I just try. Sometimes they don't turn out so good.... haha but other times they are great!

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel answers questions. Any questions I have, any guidance I need is there for me. I know God loves me for who I am. I also know that my family is important not only to me, but to God as well. Families are meant to be forever, not just this life. What he asks of us isn't that much when we think of the promise he has given us. The way to find out if it is true is simple as well. We are invited to read the Book of Mormon, ponder about it, and then ask God, sincerely and honestly, if it is true. If we do this, God has promised that he will answer. And when we find out it is true, that means that Joseph Smith is his prophet, Jesus is the Christ, and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church. A pretty big result for simply reading if you ask me. That is why I'm a Mormon. I've read the Book of Mormon, I know it is truly scripture from God. I know He loves us and wants the best for us. That's why we have a prophet on the earth today, because God wants us to know his will. It is only here we are offered these things.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. As a youth, we went to retirement homes and passed the sacrament to those who weren't able to attend a regular ward. As youth, we talked with eachother about how we can prepare to help others by serving missions and being an example to other youth. We also visited members in there homes to help them physically and spiritually. These are some moments I will never forget. they have helped me in my desire to serve. I loved serving a mission for my Heavenly Father in Australia. I went around teaching people who were willing to listen about Jesus Christ and his restored gospel. I served because I know how the gospel has blessed my life. I want others to have the opportunity to have the same happiness as I have. Every time someone accepts the gospel in their lives, I see them change. They are happier and more at ease. They feel more of God's love for them and want other to feel the same as well. I try to think of what God thinks of His children. It is so much easier to help someone when you understand what God thinks of them and what he expects of you. He has given us everything, giving a little back isn't that much to ask.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes we are Christian. the real name of the church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The name says it all. This is Jesus Christ's Church. If it is His church we must then be Christian. A belief in Jesus Christ is was drives everything we do. The Atonement of Jesus Christ, or when he suffered for us, is the base of our religion. Everything else is simply an appendage of that base. He is our Saviour and Redeemer. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

You can know this is true by praying to Heavenly Father if what you are learning is true. You can meet with the missionaries who will teach you truths to pray about as well. As you live the commandments of God you will feel the Holy Ghost more in your life. Feelings of peace, hope, comfort, and happiness will be more noticable. As you listen with your heart to the Holy Ghost, you will know that God loves you and is telling you what is right. Show more Show less
