Hi I'm Jared

I'm a husband and father of 2 boys who loves volleyball. I've lived all across the U.S. and love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of 2 little boys that I absolutely adore. My family is my greatest joy in life and there's nothing more I look forward to than coming home every day from work to be with them. I was a fairly active person athletically growing up and still enjoy playing volleyball, basketball and going for the occasional run. I really love to read as well and whenever I get a down moment I'll look for a new book to read. Having lived all over the country, I enjoy the many beauties this country has to offer and love to visit the National Parks and as well as the many historical sites. I'm bitten with the travel bug and have been fortunate enough to travel to countries in Europe, Africa and Central America.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all my life. While I grew up in the church, I have developed personal beliefs in the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I firmly believe that through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ it is possible for us to overcome the physical, temporal and spiritual challenges we face in this life and return to live with our Heavenly Father. I express my faith through obedience to the commandments of Jesus Christ. I am extremely grateful for a living Prophet on earth today who teaches us, gives counsel and encourages us to do the the things that the Lord has asked. I know that, if we are obedient, we can receive all the promised blessings that the Lord may have in store for us. I think we find the greatest happiness in life when we are obedient. I take great joy in being with my immediate and extended family and think that family is one of the greatest joys in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in several different ways. One of the teachings of the Savior is to love the Lord and to love our neighbor. I express my love for the Savior by trying to follow His commandments as that is what He has asked of us. I try to show my love for others by serving them. I serve my family in a multitude of ways including teaching them how to live a proper life, doing things for them around the house and providing for them. I serve others in our church community by working with the youth of our church in the Boy Scouts of America program and teaching them on Sundays in our church meetings. I enjoy helping around the community with simple things like picking up garbage with our family to helping neighbors move in/out of their homes or other projects around the house. It is when I am serving others that I find myself the most happy.
