Hi I'm Angie

A mother of two, birth support person (doula), Yorkie-Poo-lovin', aspiring midwife and childbirth educator. And.. I'm Mormon!

About Me

I am a mother to two charming, quirky kids. I enjoy spending my days at home with them growing, learning and playing together. I am also a doula (labor/birth support person) and childbirth/ family educator. If I'm not with my kids you'll find me teaching a class or helping a new mama cope through labor. For fun I enjoy movies and music - especially free family events at local parks, crafting, cooking and baking.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it just plain feels right. Growing up I had a lot of questions about what I was doing in the church I went to with my family. The Mormon church was able to answer my questions. I'm a Mormon because I want my children to grow up with answers that make sense; that are true. I'm a Mormon because for the first time in my life I feel comfortable at His church. I am so glad I am a Mormon and that I have found this church in well-enough time to raise my children in it. I'm a Mormon because it's important to me to raise children into strong, well-mannered, kind-hearted people with the morals and values so many have forgotten. I'm Mormon because its a wonderful thing to have a constant friend in Christ.

How I live my faith

As a fairly new member I am still learning A LOT, every day about how to live my faith. I try not to be one of those "do as I say, not as I do" parents and therefore put a lot of effort into making good, pure, honest choices to lead my children by example. We're integrating prayer before dinner, before bed, and in the mornings before drop-offs, as well as nightly scripture reading and my favorite: writing our favorite scriptures on index cards to quickly find and review later. We make a huge effort to attend church weekly as well as other LDS events.
