Hi I'm Gilbert

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the Philippines and moved to the USA in 2001. I am an engineer.

About Me

I'm an engineer and have worked in the field of electronics for 28 years. It has given me many opportunites to work with people from all over the world. I enjoy tinkering with new and vintage gadgets.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has changed my outlook in life. After hearing the gospel teachings from the missionaries while I was in the Philippines, I have gained a testimony of its truthfulness. Before they came to teach me, I was unsure and confused about many doctrines that were taught to me. The church helped me understand the purpose of why we are here and has given me the drive to live a more righteous life. It also helps me in overcoming my many weaknesses and in striving to become better in all I do. It keeps me positive and full of hope each day knowing that I am here on this earth for a reason and that there is life after death. This testimony of the gospel helps me to deal with other people, especially with my family, in a more understanding and loving way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by working hard and taking care of my family. Currently, I am serving as a primary teacher with my wife. Before this, I worked as a librarian for the church ward. I also hometeach three families in the church with another church member. My callings are important because they help me focus and serve others at the same time I grow and learn from them. Wherever I am, I try to see to it that I am applying the teachings of the gospel.
