Hi I'm Nicole

I am 30 years old. I am a wife and stay at home mom of 8 great kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to my best friend. We have been blessed to be the parents of 8 great kids. There may be a few more babies in our future. I have an associates degree in healthcare administration. For now, I am blessed with the opportunity to stay home and take care of my babies. I enjoy laughing & playing with the kids, sewing, cooking, listening to music, watching movies, playing basketball, swimming and (although rare) quiet time. I like to help people. I like Pepsi and chocolate. I am not perfect, but I try to be the best that I can.

Why I am a Mormon

My family(Mom, Dad, sister, brother & I) started investigating the church after speaking to a family friend who was a member. We all chose to become baptized soon after, when I was 16. It completely felt like it was the path that I needed to take. I was already a mother and knew that there was something missing in my life. I wanted something better for my son. It just made sense. It helped me to set righteous goals like getting married in the temple and having more children. It also provided me with the gift of the holy ghost to guide me in a righteous path. I know the church is true with my whole heart. It has led me to meet my wonderful husband and to have an eternal family. I am SO very grateful for it.

How I live my faith

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we attend church every Sunday for 3 hours. We have callings (or unpaid/volunteer jobs) that we are responsible to fulfill. My calling is a visiting teaching supervisor. I make calls to find out if the sisters on my list have visited their assigned ladies and how everyone is doing. I also have 2 sisters that I am responsible for visiting and checking on each month. We try to help others whenever there is a need- whether it is for a meal to be brought in or prayers on their behalf. Our family tries to hold family home evening once a week. We also try to say family prayer and read scriptures daily as well as personal prayers. I can tell the difference in the home on the days that we forget or are running late and don't. It definitely feels more peaceful. I strive to do my best and know that as I live and learn I can become closer to Him.
