Hi I'm Kathy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After I graduated from college, I worked at the World's Fair in Japan. It was a fantastic experience. Years after that, I met my husband on a blind date. I work with international students at a local college, and I'm finishing my Masters degree in Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS/Mormon Church. As a teen, I read the Book of Mormon for the first time cover to cover. I prayed about the book, and asked God if it was true. I felt really good about it, and knew that being a Mormon was a good thing. I was worked as a wedding photographer assistant at the time, and went to many different churches. I never felt as welcome, as loved, or as at peace as I did in any Mormon Church building. I feel peace in my heart when I think about my membership in this church. I love that I can go anywhere--in the US and abroad--and find other members of the Mormon church. When I travel, and attend church I feel the same peace that I do attending church at home. I know that the true gospel of Christ would be the same in every country--and this gospel is true here, and everywhere in the world.

How I live my faith

To me, being a Mormon means being a good person. I try to live my life in a way that would have other people see me as being a good person. I have a strong work ethic and try to do my very best at work and in school. I read the scriptures, and try to incorporate the attributes of our Savior into my life. (I have really been working on patience recently.) My husband and I read the scriptures together, and pray together. We want to make sure that we have a good relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus. I may not have an overly exciting life, but I live what I believe.
