Hi I'm Fred

I grew up in Southern California, lived in the same house all my life and attended the same schools as my mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad with four married daughters and 10 grand children. I have been a salesman my entire life and love people. I have worked with youth through the Church and BSA and love that association. I have a motorcycle that I ride on occasion, would like to ride more but my wife is not that excited. I enjoy spending time with my family. I love life.

Why I am a Mormon

Although my parents did not attend Church much while I was growing up they made sure I was there every Sunday. I was always active in the Church but until I served a mission for the Church I never really had a strong testimony of the gospel. While serving my Heavenly Father's children in a foreign land and reading the Book of Mormon, my testimony came. I now have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and His mission on this earth. I enjoy studying the scriptures and trying to become even closer to my Savior and Heavenly Father. The Church provides the direction I need to return to my heavenly family. I am grateful daily for a living prophet on the earth to lead the Saviors Church in these latter days. The Spirit testifies to me of the truthfulness of this great work. My first sentence mentioned my parents not attending Church much. After my mission, that all changed, we all went to the temple to be sealed as a family, we have been so close and the gospel is the strength in our lives. I am so thankful for the temple and the opportunities if provides to bring our eternal families together. This is a great Church, it is true and I know that for a fact.

How I live my faith

My faith requires action, faith and works. The majority of my membership in the Church I have been associated with the youth. I love the youth of the Church, they are special spirits. It is wonderful to work beside them as they serve within their communities, serve each other and prepare for the future. We only grow through serving others and the Church has allowed me to do just that. I try to be a good example to those around me and believe in being honest with my dealings with my fellow men. I don't expect anymore that I give. The Church provides the direction I need to stay on the right path.
