Hi I'm Patsy

I'm a Mormon. I have been a member of the LDS Church for 8 years. Being a member has been such a wonderful Blessing in my life.

About Me

I came from a VERY dysfunctional background. But as an adult I did all I could to break the chain of abuse and alcoholism etc. I live a good life even before I became a Mormon, but over the 8 years I have been a member, I have built a Testimony of this Church. I have been given opportunities to help and serve to help others. To grow emotionally and Spiritually has been wonderful.

Why I am a Mormon

It's hard to put into words really. I was living a good life before. After about a year of studying and praying and talking with the Missionaries, I knew without a doubt that this is the true Church on this earth today. That the original Church has been restored and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and he did translate the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

When I joined the Church I was asked to serve in many ways. My first Calling in the Church was a councilor in the Relief Society. This a Women's Organization that sees to the Welfare, temporal and spiritually, of the ladies and families in our Church and in the community. After about a year I was called to be the Relief Society President for this organization. I was in that position for 4 years. After that I was asked (or called to) be the Young Women's President in our Ward. This Auxillary sees to the young girls 12-18 years old, guides and teaches and encourages them to live a Virtuous lifestyle and teaches and encourages home making and getting a good education and so much more. That is how I am serving still. These callings have Blessed me in so many ways. It has strengthened me Spiritually and has helped me so much in my day to day life.
