Hi I'm Paula

I'm a single mom, I own my own cleaning business, I raise my children by myself, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a strong Mormon. I'm a hard worker. Life hasn't always been easy. I was born in a small town, and living in a small town still. I'm raising 3 kid by myself. I don't have a college degree, but I own my own cleaning business. 17 years ago I promised an elderly friend that if anything happened to him, I would take care of him. Shortly after making that promise he was involved in a vehicle accident and I have now been taking care of him for 17 years.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was four months into carrying my third child, my appendix ruptured which almost took my life and that of my child. Somehow, we made it through, although when she was 13 months old she passed away. Through this struggle I knew that I needed to get back into church if I were going to have the strength to carry on. My second child was born with a physical disability, and the doctors said would never be able to walk. After the first 4 years of her live, through struggle and many prayers, she has proved them wrong. The gospel has been a true blessing in my life. No other way could I possibly receive strength that is not my own to endure through the hard days, and enjoy the good ones. The miracles I've seen and received could be from no one else but God, and I know that he loves me and watch's over my family.

How I live my faith

I've always been a willing helping hand. I love to see peoples faces when I tell them I don't shop on Sundays. I especially love going to the Temple. It is the most peaceful place on the earth. I love fasting. The first time I learned about fasting I thought I would starve to death. I was so happy when I fasted for 24 hours for the first time and was still alive. The spirit I felt afterwards was amazing! I was really calm, and I felt like I could understand things better. I love feeding the missionaries too! I've been feeding them every Monday night since 2004. I have learned so much about the gospel over the years. I love sharing the gospel with my friends too. I have such a joy inside, and just want everyone to have it too! The Lord has been good to me, that is for sure. But I also have to stay faithful to his commandments if I want his guidance and blessings in my life.
