Hi I'm Joe & Kerry Connell

We live in SC. We Love our family. Our granddaughters live with us while our daughter serves in the military. We're Mormons.

About Me

Kerry I enjoy gardens, reading books and playing the piano. Along with playing the Hymns, I like good pop music. I also like musicals, and songs from the 70's & 80's. I attended college for 1 year, then married my childhood sweetheart. We have been married for 31 years. We have 6 children, 1 daugher-in-law, and 4 beautiful grandchildren. I love sports and watching my children play football, basketball, track, wrestle and swim. My family brings me great joy. Joe I've been married to Kerry for 31 years, and we have six children. I enjoy coaching wrestling and reading the scriptures. We have been successful in wrestling and that we have obtained several state championships and a national chamionship in our family. More importantly, we have spiritual peace and tranquility of soul as a result of the principles found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Kerry My Great grandmother was the first of 8 members to join the Church in Centerville, S.C., in 1894. She was not frightened by persecution to her or to the Church members in the community at that time. She knew that it was true and continued to learn and help others into the Church. I am grateful for her life, testimony and struggles that she endured for her posterity. I feel a responsibility to continue on her work in the church and to love and cherish my family as she did hers. In her golden years she was left the responsibilty of raising her 6 grandchildren. She was a hard worker and never gave up. I am grateful to her for joining the Church and bringing the joy of the gospel into my life. Joe I have studied and prayed according to the invitation found in the scriptures and I have felt the testimony of the Holy Ghost about the truthfulness of the scripture found in Eph. 2:20 that Christ's church is built upon the foundation of Apostles and Prophets, with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone.

How I live my faith

We are active members of our church. Kerry teaches the women one Sunday a month and she is also the Cubmaster. Previously, Kerry served in the Camden Junior Welfare League in our community which helps the children and families of our county. That gave her great joy. She has previously taught children and teenagers in our Church. She plays the piano at church when a substitute is needed and finds pleasure in cooking for different church activities. Joe served a mission in Mexico. Currently, he serves on the high council in our stake. I hold the Priesthood. In our community, Joe was coach of the state champion Lugoff-Elgin wrestling team and we closed every activity with a prayer to God.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Joe & Kerry Connell
I believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and if He had prophets then to lead and guide His people, then He has them now to lead and guide us. Show more Show less
