Hi I'm Erik

I love people and learning about their heritage. I am a family man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outdoors and enjoying nature with my family. We love to go on hikes and be active. I grew up playing soccer and wrestling, you could say it was in my blood. I am a father of three beautiful girls and teach medical benefits as a profession. I love being with my wife and kids. I am from a farm but married a city girl, the perfect mix.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but chose to continue to practice my belief because the peace I receive from it. Like most teenagers I went through a strong phase trying to find myself and differentiate myself from others. I wanted to be me, my own self. Insearching for myself, I found that I didnt need to search. I knew who I was. I was a child of God. I knew that because I was taught it as a child. He loves me and cares for me. Every truth that had been taught to me as a child were confirmed. They came stronger the more I searched. I was His son and he loved me. I know that there is peace in my life because of the choices I have made with accordance with the principles. They bring peace and clarity to decisions I make. The gospel of Jesus Christ means everything to me. Because of it, I get to spend the rest of my life here, but also eternity with my family as I keep my part and endure to the end. It helps me know that this is not it. There is so much more that Heavenly Father wants to give us, if we will only open up our minds and receive it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through service. I have a calling as a hometeacher in which I help watch out for the spiritual/temporal/social welfare of 3 families. I was just recently called to lead the men in the ward. I help organize the hometeaching program. It gives me the chance to serve. Through service I feel the love of the Savior in my life and see it in the lives of those I serve. I have also been involved in Boy Scouts and teaching the young men in the church.
