Hi I'm Steve

I'm Competitive, I'm Always Ready for an Adventure, I Love Music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 brothers. I grew up in Arizona, went to High School in Oregon, and now am serving as a full time missionary for the Church in the Great Kentucky Louisville Mission!! I enjoy everything about living life to the fullest. I love hiking, camping, boating, swimming...anything outdoors. I love sports, Football, Basketball, Baseball, even Golf. I love movies, especially a good Horror one. An education is something that is very important to me. I’ve gone to school for Drafting and Design as well as Computer Programming. When I was 15 I had open heart surgery. It ended my football playing days. I went back my Junior and senior years to be an assistant coach for the lineman of the JV/Varsity teams.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it’s true. When I went through my heart surgery my world fell apart. I went from being in the best shape and the strongest I’ve ever been to not being able to walk across a room in matter of 2 days. It was a miracle I even made it. I didn’t even know I was sick but I had an injury from football that got to the point where I could not even get out of bed. When I went to the Hospital they found a serious Staph infection that was affecting my heart. After a week of antibiotics I underwent the surgery to have a valve replacement. The whole time I wondered, why am I going through this? What did I ever do to? As I sought comfort from God I had such a peace come over me. While it was one of the hardest things I had ever done I knew that God was aware of what was going on and everything would be how he needed it to be. After a long period of recovery I began to seek out what it was that God had planned for my life. I found my answers through my studying. As I studied the scriptures and the teachings of the Prophets, both Past and Present, I found the guidance I was looking for. I have never had an explosion moment where everything mad sense to me. It was more a gradual understanding. Like watching the sun rise on a beautiful morning. I have confirmed to me every day that the New Testament Church, as organized by The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, has been restored today as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. That although most churches out there teach truth, and do amazing wonderful things in the world, that only the Church of Jesus Christ contains the fullness. EVERYTHING that the Ancient Church had! I am grateful to know through the Power of the Holy Spirit, that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was and is the Lord's revelator in these last days in preparation for the great and wonderful day of the Second Coming!

How I live my faith

Christ taught that "No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light." I do all I can to allow others to see what I have been blessed with. Over the last 7 years I have learned so much about what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. I am of course nowhere near where I need to be but I strive everyday to bring my will closer to that of my Father's. I strive to serve everyone and anyone I come in contact with. As a missionary I meet dozens of people every day that are in need one way or another. I love sharing my experiences and assisting others in strengthening their faith.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Steve
The Book of Mormon was written by inspired men who were prophets that lived on the ancient American continent. Nephi, Alma, Helaman and Moroni are just a few of the great men who took the time to write down their dealings with God so that they could bless the lives of millions both anciently and today. How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Steve
Use this website to get in contact with church representatives called missionaries(like myself). We would be more than happy to share with you the beliefs and doctrines of the church. We will then invite you to find out for yourself if they are true by praying and asking God. Your answer may come in many forms but God usually communicates to us, his children, through the Holy Spirit. This communication comes in the form of feelings of peace, joy and true happiness. When you come to know of the truthfulness of the message we share and feel you are ready, you are invited act on your answer by being baptized. Baptism is for the remission of sins and is also the "gateway" to membership in the church. Show more Show less
