Hi I'm Lea

I love my family and am happy to be a Mormon!

About Me

I am a mom of grown daughter and a step-mom to a 7 year old girl and 8 year old boy. I just became a grandma to a beautiful little baby girl, and I'm so proud. I work full time in the banking industry. I enjoy spending time with my family, I love animals, and enjoy meeting new people. The LDS church has always played an important role in my life. Although I have always been a member, my parents always taught me to seek out my own answers and seek the truth for myself. Though my life has not always been easy, the teachings of the Church have always helped me get through life's challenges.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church. From the time I was very young, I always had to find out things for myself. As a young child, I always accepted the basic teachings of the Church. As a teen and young adult, I was interested in trying out things that others seemed to enjoy, but were not condoned by the Church. In doing these things, I only found sorrow and confusion. After my daughter was born, I remembered the direction that the Church had once brought into my life and returned as an active member. Through prayer, scripture reading and returning to regular church attendance, I received comfort and strength. The Lord always seems to know what I need, and although I have not always had everything I want, I have always had the things I need. I know the Lord is mindful of us. He wants us to be happy. I have found that I am only truly happy when I obey His commandments to the best of my ability. I know when I make mistakes, the Lord is there to help me back on the right track through His atonement for my sins.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my ward and enjoy serving others through my calling as the Secretary in the Primary Presidency. I love the children and enjoy serving them. I do my best to be a positive example by living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are like most other women. They are smart, loving, caring, devoted, ambitious, courageous, strong, happy and play an important role in family and church life. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Lea
I am thankful that we are connected with our families forever. Once one of my family members passes from this life, it is not the last time I will see that person. I am comforted that I will get to be with my family forever. Show more Show less
