Hi I'm Vern

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Grandfather of 28 and a Great Grandfather of 28 and growing. I served in the army in Korea during the Korean War. As a veteran, I was able to homestead a 200-acre farm through a government-sponsored land drawing in 1955. I was a potato farmer in Idaho, and I am a retired postal worker.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by goodly parents and have been a member all my life. I gained a strong testimony when I served a full-time mission in the Great Lakes Mission in the U.S. from November 1949 to 1951. I know this is The Church of Jesus Christ. I have had many tender mercies, and I attribute those to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I know it was translated by the gift and power of God through Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the things that are required to keep the commandments. I also live my faith by serving other people and by trying to be a good example.
