Hi I'm Halee

They call me Rogers... I am a definite tom-boy but like to believe that I can clean up nicely. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission for the church in the Iowa Des Moines Mission (IDMM). It's the best mission on earth! I grew up in Gilbert, Arizona and have lived there my whole life. I have loved playing sports growing up but have chosen to pursue volleyball further at a college level. I played 2 years of ball at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah. Not really sure what I plan on doing after my mission, but I do know I cannot wait to be a wife and a mother! Family means everything to me. I believe in being unique.. all the time! I believe in doing what you love, and loving what you do!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon simply because I know it to be true, not because I was born into it or because my friends are, but because I've experienced the joys and blessings the church has brought into my life. I have experienced the joys of repentance and forgiveness, the happiness of an eternal family, and the truthfulness from the word of God.The teachings of the church brings such an amazing knowledge and perspective to the questions every person has in their life. I have also seen what life is like for someone who does not have the Gospel of Jesus Christ as a central part of their belief system. And in my experiences, the beliefs and principles taught in the Mormon religion are what bring hope and peace if made the center of someone's life. I don't claim to know everything about this religion... but I don't need to know everything to know that it is true. I can't adequately describe "how" I know this... except for the evidence and witness that the Spirit of the Lord has given to me in my heart. And it just makes me unbelievably happy to know MY purpose and have a sense of BELONGING in God's eternal family!!!

How I live my faith

This is a tough question... but to be simple and frank... I repent daily. I have come to realize that I can receive the fullness of the blessings that come from the Atonement of Jesus Christ if I just sincerely try hard every day. I never have a day where I am perfect, unfortunately, but I have faith that if i keep trying to become unspotted from the world and it's busyness the Atonement of Jesus Christ will advocate for me. I think one of the biggest ways I live my faith also is just by serving my brothers and sisters all around me. By loving them. Sometimes it's harder than others, but it's about trying and putting forth our best effort.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Being a missionary myself, I can tell you that when missionaries visit homes they share a message about about Jesus Christ and His infinite Atonement and how it will bless your life. They will teach that through this Atonement and through God's perfect plan we will be able to return to God's prescense as eternal families. Show more Show less
