Hi I'm Sarah

I am a wife and mother and have lived on both the East Coast and West Coast. I love music and reading. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to three beautiful children, two boys and one girl, that I have the opportunity to stay with at home. It's a lot of work, but very rewarding. My husband and I met at Ricks College, now known as BYU-Idaho and have been married for 11 years. We have lived in many places for my husband's education. We have loved being able to see and experience different parts of the United States, from California to Georgia. I have a passion for music and singing. I also love to read, bake, and get together with friends. One of my favorite authors is Karen Kingsley. I enjoy taking pictures of my children, collecting recipes, and going on family trips to the beach. I really cherish family time.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that I have a Father in heaven. I have felt His love in my life. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He loves me personally, despite my flaws. I love that my religion is my life. All my choices and decisions are a reflection of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Going to church every Sunday is time for me to recommit myself to being a better example of Jesus Christ, to work harder to know the scriptures, to feast on their words and lose myself in the history of the Gospel. Being a Mormon has changed my life. It helps me to have an eternal perspective and to know that I can live with my family forever and not have these sacred relationships end when we die. I know that if I repent and forgive, that I can be forgiven thru the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon because of the hope the gospel gives me. A hope for the future. That I will be able to accept the trials and tribulations that come into my life and turn them into experiences to learn from. That I will overcome my weaknesses and turn them into my strengths. I have been blessed to know and believe that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

Each Sunday at church I have the opportunity to teach music to the primary age kids ranging from 18 months to 11 years. Each year there is a new theme that the songs are centered around. This year our primary theme is "Choose the Right." What a great topic for the children. It's a constant reminder to be kind and loving. To listen to parents and teachers. To be more like Jesus in every way to feel peace and joy in our hearts. Each week I get to teach important gospel principles thru music, such as baptism, the atonement, being obedient, following the prophet, and the birth of the Savior. It's amazing what a child can remember thru song. It is so rewarding to see them all singing a song together that they have worked so hard to learn. We have so much fun singing fun songs to get their wiggles out and letting the kids choose some of their favorite songs to sing. I love being with the children. They are all so unique and precious. They help me to remember that we are all children of our Heavenly Father.
