Hi I'm Conner

Grown up in the beautiful mountains of Utah, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well my name is Conner, and I can play some instruments, not very many though. I do however love playing the piano, I love trying to improvise my own songs. I think it's fun! I think that it really pushes me to do something difficult and think in a different mind set of what I'm used to doing, which really helps me grow to be better. I am actually a freshman in college/university (whatever you want to call it) but currently not at school. I hadn't really decided what I wanted to do for my major, but was possibly looking at international business, really vague but hey it's a start! I think it would be really interesting, and definitely difficult to do. I can actually sprechen a bit of Mandarin Chinese so I think that would help me out with the International Business.

Why I am a Mormon

Pretty simple actually, I know that the Book of Mormon is true, that's really the simple reason why I'm a Mormon. I guess I should explain a little bit more about how I know it's true. Well first off I've read the book, and you can't really know a book is true until you have read part of it right? So I read it, and the first time I read it I really didn't know it was true, at that time I honestly didn't really care to know whether or not it was true. Mainly the reason I didn't really care was because I didn't understand how it could help me. I thought it was just a book that everyone in our church read, and it has information in it to help us learn more about our religion. I kept on reading it, because well it is actually a cool book, it has some crazy stories which crazy things happen. But the real reason I kept on reading it is because everyone I knew said they know for a fact that it was true, and I still hadn't yet, so I wanted to know as well. In the Book of Mormon there is a promise given by a person who wrote part of it. The promise tells us that when we pray to God sincerely and ask Him whether or not the book is true, He will tell us through the Holy Ghost which is manifested through our feelings. So after I read the book I tested the promise. Wow and the experience that I had, it was honestly disappointing. I was super frustrated, I had prayed several times about it and still hadn't gotten anything, no feeling. I had asked, and asked etc... Nothing. I continued my life. I continued to read the book. We all do stupid things in our lives, and one day I did something really stupid... I felt terrible. What happened is that I turned to the Book of Mormon, and you know what I find peace when I read it, and I find answers that I need in it that help me continue my life.. So it wasn't an overwhelming feeling all at once. But a gradual realization of all the things that I have learned about Jesus Christ because I had been reading from it, and it was comforting.

How I live my faith

I study the Book of Mormon every single day. The Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ, so what that means is that all of the teachings in the Book of Mormon teach us about Christ. So I relate all of the things that I learn in the Book of Mormon to Jesus Christ, and you know what, it's pretty easy. Yeah, Mormon's are Christian. I pray every day. Because I want to be close with God, so I'm going to talk with Him every day. Build a good relationship with Him, and as I do so I will easier find the answers that I need. Every Sunday I go to church. Because I promised to God that I would, and He helps me because I do so.
