Hi I'm Nicolaus Neser

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love football basketball and lacrosse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I played football, basketball, and lacrosse in high school. I'm an Eagle Scout. I love helping and talking to people as well as serving the Lord. Before leaving on my mission, I had lived in southern California my entire life and I plan to go to BYU when my mission is over. I went to Woobridge High School. I enjoy learning and my favorite subject is history. Before my mission, I followed BYU football and basketball because they are the best in the nation. I have one brother and two sisters who I love very much. I also love my two wonderful parents and all that they do for me and my family. I plan to have a family of my own some day and I hope it can be as amazing as my family right now.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into a family that was already completely integrated into the church. So my parents and older siblings have gone to church with me. I consider my parents to be smart and so they must know that this is the right church or else they wouldn't be a part of it. And up until resently that has been way enough for me to be a Mormon. I look at them and see what great examples they are and it makes me want to be the closest I can to being like them. However, as I have gotten older it has become more and more important for me to find out if being Mormon is really what is right. And I know that I have gained that testimony through the spirit confirming it to me. There is no other way I could have known that it was true then turning to my Heavenly Father in prayer and asking him sincerely if it was true in all aspects of this great religion. After reading the Book of Mormon and asking if that was true or if Joseph Smith was a prophet or if Thomas S. Monson is a prophet today and I have received confirmations of these things. I know they are true. My testimony is really based off of the small things in my life. I haven't had that moment where you just start crying because you know the church is true and I don't think I ever will, but that is alright. My testimony is built on the small things that have happened in my life. Little testimony builders like losing something important and being able to find it after praying or you are having a bad day and you pray for some help and somebody comes over immediately and talks to you. I realize that I am not going to have vision of heavenly father and Jesus Christ, but I am alright with that too. The culmination of those little things can have the same effect.

How I live my faith

Right now I am a missionary for the church and in doing that I show my faith in everything I do. I wake up, study the scriptures, gospel materials and then go out and try to share the wonderful light of the gospel I have in my life with others. Everyday I find amazing and wonderful people who are beautiful sons and daughters of our heavenly father and I have the chance to share his gospel with them. I try to show great love for everyone I see and come in contact with because I would like to be like Christ and love everybody. Following the example of Jesus Christ is the way I strive to show my faith. I am so grateful for him in my life.
