Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student eager to stop living off of canned foods and ramen noodles.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout the course of my life, I have had continual small reinforcers that Jesus Christ is the Savior and that His gospel, as He established it when He was on the earth, was restored through one of His apostles and prophets, Joseph Smith. As I have read the Book of Mormon and made prayer a regular part of my life, God has given me the truth that I seek. He doesn't always take away the challenges that I have, but He gives me the truth and direction I need to be happy and to have a good life.

How I live my faith

I strive to share what I believe through my words and actions just in everyday living. I go to work, study at school, hang out with friends, and everything else that people do to have a regular routine and productive life. In the church I attend, I supervise missionary efforts and try to take opportunities in my daily routines to introduce the restored gospel to those around me so they can be taught by the missionaries.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

I can only imagine how strange it must seem for two random people to show up at a doorstep and share a religious message. But missionaries are friendly and are simply trying to share with others something of which they have a deep conviction. They share a message about Jesus Christ and how He can help us be clean and happy, despite our mistakes and shortcomings. They teach about how His way is the only way that we can find enduring happiness in this life and in the next. They teach of His role as the Savior and how to live His gospel so we can be worthy to return and live with God someday. Show more Show less
