Erik: Mormon.

Hi I'm Erik

About Me

I like music, meaning, I like to create or listen to it. I love the outdoors. I like to go hiking, going to the beach, and enjoying God's creations. Right now I'm a college student studying biology. Not quite sure what I want to do with it yet. I have a connection with Japan since I lived there for two years and can speak the language. I love the people and the culture.

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt that there is a God and that He does care about us in this crazy world. I have grown up LDS my whole life but it has been through my own personal experiences such as prayer, and reading from the Bible or Book of Mormon, that I have come to know if there is a God and what He wants me to do in order to attain peace and long-lasting happiness in this life. His Plan of Happiness or Plan of Salvation makes sense and it applies to me since I have relatives who have recently died. Knowing about that Plan has helped me understand life and death more, and as a result I have peace of mind knowing where they are and where I will be going.

Personal Stories

How has attending Church services helped you?

It has helped give peace in my life. When I am feeling depressed church always makes it better, that is if I go with an open heart and mind. I think without church, life would be more stressful because that is the time that I get to focus on God the most, and in return God can focus on me throughout the week. Through church service I learn something new all the time about myself and about God.

How I live my faith

I am involved in missionary work in my in church. I am not a full-time missionary but I help the full-time missionaries. I like to tell people about the message that God wants His children to hear and how it can bless them now and in the future.
