Hi I'm Alexandra

I am preparing to serve an LDS mission. I love to dance and trying new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I prayed and received an answer through the Holy Ghost that I was supposed to serve a mission so I followed that prompting. A mission is hard, but I have learned so much and I enjoy every day I am serving. Although others see an 18 month mission as a big sacrifice, but I see it as a blessing and a privilege. I have been so blessed to have family and good friends supporting me and I try to support others in their decisions to serve a mission. I didn't always have the desire to serve a mission, but as I opened my heart to the Lord, I accepted His 'better' plan for me and I know I will never forget it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church, but through my life I have come to know of its truth. Nothing makes me happier than when I am living the teachings of the LDS church. I always feel like this church is where I belong. You can go anywhere in the world and the teachings in the LDS church will be the same with every bishop and other leaders.

How I live my faith

Obedience is a word that not a lot of people like to hear, but that is how I live my faith. When I strive to be obedient, I show my love for God and I am greatly blessed. Obedience is an outward expression of my inner commitment and love for the Lord. One way that I show obedience is by treating others with respect. We are all children of God and when I meet and visit with others I try to see them as the Lord would see them. I try to have charity just as Christ does.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Alexandra
Members of the LDS church are not required to serve missions. Everything that we do as members is a choice. Young men are highly encouraged to serve missions, but it is not required. A mission is a privilege and those who are faithful have a desire to share the truth of the Gospel and bring eternal happiness to others and their families. Show more Show less
