Hi I'm Kelsey

I'm an art student, a musician, and an avid reader. I'm a sister, a daughter and a friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love using my hands, whether its playing the piano, creating art or writing. I feel such a sense of wonder about the world and love trying to capture the emotions I feel in a more tangible way. I am currently a studio art student. I appreciate classic and nerdy TV (Go Whovians!), cheesy and eloquent writing. I love a good bowl of pho but I also find great comfort in a bowl of Cheerios and peanut butter. I'm the oldest of five and absolutely love my family. I've recently grown to appreciate hikes and I've always enjoyed water tubing. I've grown up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that doesn't mean my life has been simple. There have been years where I've struggled to come to terms with who I am and situations in my life. But no matter the struggle I have been reassured that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me and is there for me even on my darkest nights. I know He wants whats best for me, sometimes I just don't understand His plan. Because of this testimony I have gained over the years I have decided to set aside all my dreams, my education and my goals for 18 months to share the knowledge I have been given. I will be serving the Lord in Spain.

Why I am a Mormon

I have made many mistakes in my life, some of which are larger than others. But I have realized that whenever I am truly happy is when I am following the gospel and living my life the way I know I should. I know that if I strive to become the person God knows I can be that I will be able to live with my family forever. I want that more than anything else in this world. I would give up everything for this, and I have sacrificed things in my life to try to achieve my ultimate goal. I know the gospel is true and I want to make my Heavenly Father proud of me.

How I live my faith

I am on the indexing committee for my ward. This means that I take hard copies of censuses and other such lists and create a data file of them. It's easier than it sounds and really gives me a sense of fulfillment, knowing that I am helping someone who has passed on be able to get their temple work done. I also go visit teach two girls along with my roommate. I have really grown to love these two girls and we are quickly developing a close relationship. Beyond my callings I try to live my life the way Heavenly Father wants me to. I go to the temple whenever I can and try my best to obey the prophet's council.
