Hi I'm Camille Rasmussen

Lover of family, fashion, art, and this beautiful world. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in paradise, aka Southern California! I am currently studying fine art at Brigham Young University- Idaho. I love traveling, listening to good music, oil painting, laying on the beach, playing at Disneyland, shopping, watching chick flicks, trying new foods, spending time with my adorable nieces and nephews, and sharing this perfect gospel that I love so much!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I have been blessed with goodly parents who truly love the Lord. However, this is not why I choose to be a Mormon. True, they are about the best examples I could have asked for, but I have a burning testimony of my own of the truthfulness of this remarkable Gospel and the power it has to change our lives and better us! I’m a Mormon because being a Mormon makes me happy. It’s that simple! The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me more joy than anything else in the world! It brings me peace in times of sorrow. It brings me hope when I have sinned. It brings me faith to move forward. It shows me all I have to be grateful for. It gives me knowledge to share. It gives me purpose in my life. It makes me want to be better. It makes me strive to be like Him. The gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to transform us. When I have the spirit with me, I feel that change happening inside and I never want it to stop! I hope to always be becoming more, becoming better, becoming like Him. I know God lives and that He loves me. He is my spiritual Father and my very best friend! I cannot wait to serve Him as well as the wonderful people of Peru for the next 18 months of my life. It is the very least I can do for the abundant blessings and love that He has given me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each day to become more like my Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ. I am able to achieve this goal little by little as I do very small and seemingly insignificant things each day. I attend all my church meetings, I study the scriptures deeply, I perform my church calling, I pray constantly, I look for opportunities to serve and to love, I go to the temple weekly, and I jump at any chance I get to share the perfect message of this gospel! As I am doing all of these things in the hopes of becoming more like my Savior, however I recognize that I cannot do it alone. I am far from perfect and would always be without the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I know that because Christ suffered for me, I can be washed clean of my many sins and sorrows. He has saved me from these feelings eternally if I will simply repent! I stand all amazed at the love He offers me and I am forever grateful for it! I have recently accepted the call to serve as a missionary of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I will be serving in the Peru Chiclayo Mission from July 2014- January 2016. I could not be more excited to bring the sweet, humble Peruvian people closer to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! God loves all of his children and I am giddy to be a part of His great work and perfect glory.
