Hi I'm Abby

My name is Abby Andersen. I am currently serving a full-time mission in England. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm 20 years old, I love sports, being outdoors, driving, camping, and sharing the gospel! Right now I am living in good ol' England, serving as a full-time missionary for the church. I have truly never been happier. I love the opportunity that I have to serve God. I love my mission!!! I would say the most interesting part about me probably isn't even about me... It'd have to be my family. They're a bunch of hooligans. I come from a family a wild family of five--There's my little brother Nate, and my older brother Jake. I'm squashed right in between! I love my brothers so much and I've really appreciated the opportunity that I've had to grow up with them--it's a party! Then comes my parents... It's hard to think of anyone else who has influenced my life more than God and Jesus Christ, but my parents definitely come in next. They've shown me what's important in life and how to make every day meaningful; they have been here through my hardest times. I feel so lucky to have those two. My family is everything.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and found it to be true. Moroni 10:3-5. We are told that if we want an answer to something that chances are God probably knows. Turns out He does! He knows everything! I prayed about it the Book of Mormon was given this overwhelming sense of peace. I love this Book because it teaches of Christ and all that he has done. I've gained a purpose and an identity through studying and praying that has lead me through some of the hardest times in my life. As a member of the church an eternal perspective of life has kicked in and it's helped me see the big picture as to why trials happen and why following Christ is vital for us. I love the gospel. It's done nothing but bless my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following good examples. The greatest example is Christ. Why not follow someone who did literally everything perfectly? It just makes sense! He has paved the way that he wants us to walk, and I have found that my happiness is full as I try to walk as closely to Him as possible. That road eventually leads to the throne of God, so I do my very best to live up to His expectations. The best way we can show love is through loyalty. I do this by loving those who are around me; I try to be like him by doing good things. I like taking advantage for the service opportunities that come my way--they are all around me. Service doesn't have to be a big thing for it to go a long way. Some of the greatest miracles I've seen in my life have had seemingly small beginnings. I also live my faith by reading the words of the Lord and by talking with him about them. Through constant prayer and scripture study I have developed a strong relationship with my Father in Heaven.
