Hi I'm Tony Etris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 girls and 1 boy. I married Shari on June 2, 1972. Two weeks after we were married, I was drafted into the Army. I served basic training at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. I was then sent to Washington D.C., where I worked at the Pentagon until I was released. After getting out of the service Shari and I moved back to Georgia where we still live. In 1974, 2 young missionaries knocked on our door and introduced us to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We joined the church several months later. I recently retired from Verizon, where I had worked for 30 years, and currently take care of two of my wonderful grandchildren 3 days a week.

Why I am a Mormon

Shari and I looked for a church for 2 years but always felt something was missing. When we found the LDS church it was like we had found the missing piece to a puzzle. It helped us to answer all the questions we had about life and why we are here.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life as Christ did when He was on the earth. The Church of Jesus Christ helps us to live the Gospel in the world today. This church helps us grow closer to Heavenly Father and keeps our family close as well.
