Hi I'm Jenn Savage

I love photography and reading. I'm a lover of good books. My mission in life is to feed good people good food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When people ask where I'm from, I say that I'm from America, because we moved a lot during my childhood. I loved every place that we have lived-- California, Washington, Arizona, Maryland, and Utah. During all of the chaos of moving frequently, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a source of comfort and strength to me and my family, and provided me with the values that have given my life meaning and happiness. After high school, I attended Brigham Young University and studied literature (and avoided grammar and math classes). I took a break from my studies and served a mission to the amazing country of Honduras--in the capital of Tegucigalpa. After I returned, I graduated with my degree in English and met my husband all in the same year. We now call Charlotte, North Carolina our home and love it. Along the way we added two children to our family, and it has been one great adventure after another. We love playing games, going to new places (especially if they include a beach and indoor plumbing), museums, reading, watching movies on big screens, and just being together. I enjoy photography, autumn, cardigans, orange juice, laughing, reading, and taking naps when the house is quiet (aka never).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because being a Mormon has brought my life peace. I think there comes a time in every person's life where they begin to realize that they either want to believe in God, or want to push away from that idea. When I came to that juncture in my own life, I realized that being a member of this Church and following Jesus Christ gave me a profound sense of joy, peace, and order.

How I live my faith

I try to listen to promptings from the Holy Ghost to help guide how I live my faith. I find my greatest feelings of success have come from first serving my own family and spouse, and then reaching beyond that to others. I try to live my faith simply by trying to remember how Jesus lived his life and to remember Him as much as possible--Everything else is ancillary to me. I love my Savior.
