Hi I'm Nancy Gilson

I am married with 8 children, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I love people. I love serving others. I am a Morman

About Me

When younger I was involved in swimming meets or contests, I rode horses and was involved with riding English and showing horses. I loved this way of life. I always wanted to have an orphanage as I loved children and wanted to help them. The closest I came to that was to adopt 2 children, fostered 17, had 7 exchange students and have had others live with us. I really enjoy Family History and getting acquainted with relatives. I also enjoy helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as an Episcopalian. From the time I was very young I knew that God had a body like you and I but our church did not believe in that. I also wanted to go to church as a family. When I was in my 20's with 5 children I learned that the Mormons believed and taught that Heavenly Father or God had a body and from that I knew the church was true. I am so greatful for the gospel in our lives. It was a wonderful way to raise our children. I can't imagine not attending church each Sunday. I have missed a few times and the week does not go well.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly. I help others. I do my visiting teaching which is the most important calling in the chuirch. I am the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society and enjoy all aspects of the gospel.
