Hi I'm LeAnne

I'm a singer/songwriter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a college student in Oregon studying jazz and loving it! I've done music my whole life, but I mostly play piano and sing now. I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter and plan on getting my degree in jazz studies. Someday I would love to be a successful performer and recording artist as well as a private teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in what might be considered a typical Mormon family. I never really questioned my parents' or the Church's beliefs, but as I got older I realized that the Church is all about the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It's that gospel that makes people, myself included, truly happy. I'm not perfect by any means, and life is definitely hard, but I've found that through Jesus Christ, this life is so much more bearable. I can't imagine being without my hope and faith in Christ. Knowing of God's love and knowing that through my faith I can return to Him and my loved ones after I die fills me with joy and peace, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

How I live my faith

At my college, I am one of the representatives for our Church's student club on campus. It was a little scary at first because a lot of people have very negative opinions about Mormons, but I've learned that's it's okay to stand out, and a lot of people respect me for it. I also get to serve as the pianist for the women's class on Sundays, and once or twice a month I teach the Sunday School class. It's amazing how God includes everyone and enables them to spread His love to others, however inadequate we may feel.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Definitely not. God loves every single one of His children, and so should we. Part of the reason we come to this earth is to learn to love and serve one another as Jesus Christ did. Show more Show less
