Hi I'm Tim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a lawyer, a tech aficionado, a sports nut, and a bookworm.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church for the most part, though only my parents and I were actually members. My grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins all belonged to different faiths, and my story is similar to (though much less spectacular than) Joseph Smith's. When I was around 15 years old I prayed to know whether the church was, in fact, the true church of Jesus Christ. I had just finished reading several chapters of the Book of Mormon, and I wanted an assurance from the Lord that I was following the correct path. After all, this church requires a lot of its members, and I did not want to expend all that effort in vain. It's difficult to put the response I received into words, but I felt in my heart that the church was correct, and that I had known it all along. I saw no visions like Paul did on the road to Damascus (though, I will admit, that would have been great), but I felt the calmness of the Spirit confirming what I had been taught. After an experience like that, it would be hard NOT to be Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith as best I can every day; I spend a little time reading the scriptures, I pray regularly, and I try to remember to treat the people I encounter the way God would want me to treat them.
