Hi I'm Dominick Ebner

I enjoy gaming, I'm a missionary in the Colorado Fort Collins Mission, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Bountiful, Utah and moved to New Mexico shortly afterwards. I've jumped around between Utah, New Mexico, and Texas. I lived in a little town in New Mexico called Rio Rancho, and loved it there. I moved back to Utah in 2008, and have lived there ever since. I love to play a card game called MTG (Magic the Gathering), and also like to play Halo. I am now on my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and am really excited to play Halo 4 when I get home. (I go home in July of 2014). I also love to write. I like writing, because it releases those feelings of anger, regret, sadness, and irritation into the work, and I just feel so much better after I get done writing. (I write short stories of only 3-4 chapters long.) I also love cats. I've had several cats. All of which I have loved. When I get back from my mission, I plan on getting into cycling. Cycling marathons, races, etc. I'm a gamer, I'm a cat lover, I'm a nerd, I'm a missionary and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe it's true. I believe it's true, because I've prayed to know it's true. The way I came to know, is before my mission, I had a choice, go on a mission, or continue to do what I did. I was talking with my bishop, and he told me that I should take it to the Lord. I said that I didn't know for sure if it was or not, and that I didn't want to quit smoking, but if the Lord told me to, I would quit and go. That night I knelt down, and asked God if this was the true church, if it was His church, and if it was, I would go on a mission. Not soon after I said amen, I felt that this was right. I went to school the next week, and told all of my friends that I had been smoking with that I wasn't going to continue to smoke with them, and that I was preparing to go on a mission. They said okay, and then just kinda walked off. I know that this church is true. I know that God loves each and every one of us, he knows us by name, and we can return to live with him, if we continue to do what's right. I know the Lord works in mysterious ways, and whatever is done in this life is His will, and we all just have to come to accept that. I know that my Redeemer lives, and that he continues to guide us on the path of righteousness, and that he died so that we may live, in the sacred name of our Lord, even Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following it's commandments, and doing my best to follow the Savior's example. I came on a mission to do just that. I love to be of service to others, and also to share what I believe and how it has effected my life with others.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Dominick Ebner
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does not require anyone to serve a mission, rather it is a personal choice. We are certainly encouraged to serve, but not required to do so. We are asked to pray about it, and see if this is the right thing to do. Show more Show less

What is the difference between attending church and the temple?

Dominick Ebner
The difference between these two, is to go to the Temple, you have to have a Temple Recommend, and be worthy of entering. It is the House of the Lord, and has been dedicated for the use of worthy members of The Church. For attending one of our churches, you simply walk in, sit down, and be reverent. (Reverence just means peaceful; quiet.) Show more Show less
