Hi I'm Yolonda

I am a Christian, a mother, a sister, a daughter, a wife and a Daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church. When I got married I only attended church occasionally. When I had our first son I realized that I was not just responsible for my salvation but that of my child. I wanted him to learn and to know for himself about Jesus Christ. I went back to church and realized the true happiness that I had been missing by not living the standards and commandments that I knew were true. I had another son and went through a divorce. I now have a wonderful husband that I am married to for time and all eternity. Because of the power of the priesthood and the restoration of the gospel we have a living prophet on the earth today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Daughter of my Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. He Died for me. The Plan of salvation or Gods Plan of Salvation is my GPS. I know where I came from and I know if I go through this life trying. If I live faithfully and keep the covenants that I have made with my Heavenly Father I will live with him again. There is no greater joy then to feel the love of Christ. This is my happy ever after.

How I live my faith

I serve and teach girls 12-18. I try and be an example to those around me. I work full time but wish I did not have to so that I could serve full time in my community, There is so much need. Young mothers, single mothers. widows. It takes a village to raise a child. They all need love and understanding. I love to find a need and then fill it. Sometimes that might be a meal or a babysitter. or just a visit. In one day we moved two families. That was the highlight of my week. Both families did not know if they would even have homes to move to, so when they did it was answers to many prayers. I pray and read my scriptures daily. Heavenly Father answers prayers and sometimes he answers them through us. I know that Heavenly Father knows me and loves me because he answers my prayers.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Yolonda
No. We help everyone world wide. Of any religion or not. Our youth group goes out and serve meals at our local shelters. Show more Show less
