Hi I'm Kristen

I am a mother of 4 who loves to have dance parties with my kids and learn about this amazing world we live in. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Our world is fascinating to me. I love to learn about different cultures and countries and travel to them when I can. I have been to Poland and the Czech Republic, England, Wales, and I lived in Guatemala for 18 months. My dream is to be able to travel with my family throughout the world so that my children can experience and learn to love different cultures. I love learning about the different traditions and customs across the globe. I believe that every culture has so many good and uplifting characteristics that we can learn from. The more I learn of this world and the people in it, the more I love the diversity that I see! To me, the best things in life are: spending time with my husband, having a dance party in the kitchen with my kids, going on a family hike, and eating at a nice restaurant!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the light of this world. I believe that through His Suffering, Crucifixion, and Resurrection, we all will be resurrected and can return to live with Him someday. He suffered for us so that we could repent and be forgiven of our mistakes. And if we try to follow our Savior's example, He is merciful and powerful enough to make it possible for us to return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven someday. The Book of Mormon teaches that "by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." I have prayed and asked Heavenly Father if this Church is the true Church of Jesus Christ. He gave me an answer through a feeling of peace, happiness and clarity that testified to me that this is the path He wants me to follow. It is the only way, through the merits of our Savior Jesus Christ, that we can return to Him and find peace in this life. He is so merciful and loves each one of us so much!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to read in the scriptures every day, praying daily, going to the Temple, paying tithing, and serving in our ward. I help teach young girls between the ages of 8 and 12. Twice a month we have "Activity Days" with these girls. The Activity Days are opportunities for us to reinforce what they are learning in their classes at Church, give them opportunities to serve others, and help them develop their talents. My top priority in life is to raise my children with love and knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Parenting has taught me that the more you serve someone, the more you love them. That is what, I think, this life is all about.
