Hi I'm Rylie

I was a ballerina for 11 years, and I'm a dancer for life. I love to perform, I love friends, family and the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school student, a junior this year. I participate in the marching band as part of the colorguard, I am also in the school top chior and the show chior, I am the only student in the school that participates in both. One thing you need to know about me is that I love to dance, but honestly I love performing more than dancing, being on the stage brings out a side of me that rarely anyone sees on a daily basis, it is strangely when I am the most at ease. I am in Key Club, National Honors Society and French club. I want to do drama this year too. I love to sing, well I just love music. My favorite things of all time are, sunrises, socks, musicals!, snow, shooting stars, weeping willows, the church, hot apple cider, and meaningful hugs. I spend my time doing homework, honestly sometimes that is all I have time for, but when I have time I like to read, dance, sing, spend time with family, or friends, and write. I live life to the fullest, and I look at everything as an adventure! I am writing a book, thanks to my best friend, and with all the letters I send him, that could be a book too. I love musicals, some of my favorites are, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Brigadune, and all Disney movies, especially Tangled. I have a variety of interests, including the human body, I would like to become a physical therapist or a natropath. I like working with special needs children and adults too. I want to go to college, although I have no idea where.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church, and many people think that that is my reason for "Why I'm a Mormon", but it's not. My mother was a convert to this church, my father was inactive, they met in highschool and found thier way together. I have heard their stories so many times and I have a testimony that the Lord works is mysterious ways. I know that without their faith and diligence, thousands, upon thousands of lives were affected. I know that because this church changes lives, it brings blessings upon joining that I could have never dreamed. I have a wonderful, beautiful family, the best friends I could ever have, people who will always love me, an able body, a healthy mind, and I have been blessed with the trust of my Heavenly Father to declare the gospel and to be set as an example. It humbles me to know that such a blessing has been placed upon my shoulders. I know this church is the one and only kingdom of God on earth belonging to the Messiah, the Anointed One, restored from Christ's teachings of old to modern times assosiated with the faithful followers of Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the most perfect doctrine in the world today, I know that it was translated correctly by Joseph Smith, a true prophet of God. I know that the prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. I know that Christ suffered and died for my sins, I know that he is always there to carry me and love me. I know that He lives, and loves me. I know that I am a Daughter of God and that He loves me too. I know He has a plan for me, and it is a perfect plan, I know that if I trust in Him, all will go right. I know that the Spirit whispers the truth. I know that revelation happens today, everyday. I beleive in miracles, I see one every day in the morning sunlight. I know that missionaries are special witnessess of Christ and are amazin. I know I can live with my Heavenly Father again someday, with my family sealed for eternity. And I say these things humbly, in the name of the Christ, Jesus, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am in my church youth group. We do many service events and fun activities. My mom is a leader for the Young Women in my ward. I am the secratary for the Laurels class (the girls 16-18) and I am part of the Stake Youth Council (We help with activities for the youth). I have completed my personal progress (an Eagle Scout kind of recognition), and I am now helping my mom with hers. I like being active in the church, attending everything that has to do with choir and I love to bear my testimony and give talks in church. I love to come up with ideas for activities that can include everyone. I go to church dances as often as they come and I have a blast. I love the stake activities and our big ward activities. I go to the temple as often as possible, and I share how much I love the temple whenever I have the chance. I go to school and I try to be an example to others around me, I try to share the gospel at every opporotunity, and I try and be grateful for all of my blessings. I choose to not put anything that might harm my body into or on to it, like drugs, piecings, and tatoos. I live the law of chastity, I am honest in my dealings with my fellow man, I sustain the prophet on this earth today, and I am not afraid to be peculiar. I love life and try to be optimistic and happy at all times. I love with all my heart and I do not hate, I learn and do not boast, I strive to have COURAGE, I do not let myself be pushed around. I live by faith.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Rylie
Oh my goodness, there are so many things! I have studied the human body to an extent and I can testify, it is truly amazing! Everything about us works so perfectly, it could never be an accident or even natural selection. And the reason why everything works together so perfectly is because we have a wonderful Father in heaven who created us each individually! And guess what? He loves us! Each of us, personally, He not only loves us, He likes us. He likes who we are and He likes what He wants us to become. I feel that love, every time I pray and ask, "Father, do you love me?" I feel it. I also know that there must be a God because He has sent me to an amazing family, and He has sent me amazing friends that I couldn't be myself without. He is everywhere, you just have to look, I see Him in nature, He has created this world for us, and it's beautiful! I am reminded of the hymn, "How Great Thou Art" (86) "I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow'r thruout the universe displayed." I, personally, see His face very clearly in the morning sunrise. Everything testifies of Him, you just have to listen. Show more Show less
