Hi I'm Jesse!

I love reading, writing, running, and playing tennis. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I received my mission call to Buenos Aires Argentina and am currently training in the MTC. I should be heading out in a few weeks but I will likely be reassigned because of the large waiting list for Visas into Argentina. I am very excited to share my testimony with people where ever I am sent. I am really enjoying my time in the MTC and learning Spanish. I sometimes worry about the difficulty of my life after my mission but I know the Lord will bless me for my sacrifice. I am grateful for the chance to serve a mission and I know this is what I am supposed to be doing.

Why I am a Mormon

My understanding and belief in this church has been... a process. I am grateful that my parents never forced me to go to church. I was expected to be reverent when I was there but other than that, what I got from church was purely my own doing. This strengthened me by helping me to find the truth on my own terms and only because I wanted to. It strengthens every aspect of my life. I love church programs that help me get past my introspective nature and motivate me to interact with people of similar standards. I have discovered many of my closest friends this way. Having the spirit in my life strengthens me so much and helps me to make better decisions. And because of the Atonement I know when I make mistakes I can overcome them and repent. And there is no greater comfort than that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to everyone around me. I live by a different code and this makes me stand out. I live my faith by not being afraid of how it will make me look. I am living my faith by serving a mission in Argentina. I understand the importance of this gosple and I want to share it with others. I live my faith by being willing to give all my heart, mind, and strength in service of the Lord.
