Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a white water river guide, I'm a mechanic, I have spent the last four years of my life in Idaho, and I LOVE the outdoors!

About Me

I have a great love for adventure and the outdoors. I've spent several years as a river guide on the Salmon River. I spend most of my summers whitewater kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, slacklining, etc. In the winters I love to ski and snowboard. I've just recently graduated highschool and plan on attending Utah State University or the Air Force Academy. I plan on majoring in aerospace engineering as well as obtaining my pilot's license. I thoroughly enjoy working with my hands and fixing anything mechanical. I've spent three years in an automotive course preparing for competitions. I'm also the oldest of three younger brothers. My motto would be that I'd rather risk my life than risk not living it. I live for the beauty and excitement of the untamed rivers and mountains, however, family is one of my greatest priorities. I'm always on the go seeking new opportunities and experiences. I also love to spend time hunting and fishing with my Dad and brothers. I'm not the type to back down from a good challenge, I feel like it promotes alot of personal growth. I'm very friendly and can usually get along in most any group of people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've studied the Book of Mormon all the way through and have found it to be truthful and life changing. I have never had any extravagant experience as a witness of the validity of the church for me, but as I've taken steps of faith and lived the principles contained in the gospel I have found an overwhelming amount of peace, direction, knowledge, and opportunities to grow. Gradually I've gained more knowledge and a stronger testimony of the gospel through scripture study, prayer, and church attendance. I've felt the spirit that I desire more frequently and the quality of my life has improved. Now I have a strong testimony that we cannot receive a witness until after a trial of our faith. It requires hard work on our part but the blessings and joy that are received from it are hard to describe. Nothing has helped me to be happier and feel more fulfilled than to be an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that Christ is at the head of this church and that he has organized it through prophets and apostles that are called and ordained of God. They've been given authority to perform ordinances such as baptism which are essential to our salvation. I also know that we have a prophet on the earth today who receives revelation for the church on how we should conduct ourselves and helps us to know how we can better prepare our families.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. With the faith and knowledge of the truth I had there was no way I could deny my responsibility to serve. This decision has only increased my happiness and belief in the gospel. It also benefits the people I teach as well as my loved ones at home. There are many difficulties in serving a mission but none of them seem to even be a bother compared to the immense joy I receive from feeling the spirit so frequently as I serve others.
